Youth Horse Connection Program 7-12yrs
My EFL (Equine Facilitated Learning) Youth Program offers children a supportive one-on-one environment to spend time with horses while building confidence, awareness, and emotional wellbeing.
Through gentle, guided interactions, youth learn about communication, boundaries, and respect while experiencing the calming presence of the horses. Activities may include grooming, simple horse handling, mindfulness and creative art, quiet time observing the herd, and occasionally bareback riding to help youth feel the movement and connection of the horse.
At Kind Spirit Horses, the horses are respected as sovereign beings and always have the choice to engage or step away. This helps children learn patience, regulation, awareness, and authentic connection with animals.
Sessions are intentionally kept quiet and unhurried, allowing both the horses and the youth to move at their own comfortable pace where genuine connection and learning can naturally unfold.
Sessions are adapted to each child’s comfort level and interests.
This is not about performance and achievement. Its about slowing down, connection, and creating an equal relationship with the horses in a calm and supportive environment.
